Taoist Prayer
In Homage to the Divine Ones and Seeking Their Blessings for Mankind.
O’Three Pure Ones, Almighty Supreme Tai Shang Lao Jun and all Heavenly Divine Beings, empathise us and hear our prayer with compassion:
May Heaven bestow kindness and benevolence to mankind;
May Heave shine a guiding light to lead those in danger and suffering to salvation;
Let all natural calamities vanquish forever and never again will human catastrophes arise;
May our world be peaceful, strong and prosperous and that all wars cease and may peace prevails on Earth.
May man live in harmony and universal fraternity;
Let us build a community based on sincerity, trust and love, so that all disputes can be resolved amicably;
May good tidings be with our leaders and may peace and good health be with the people;
May all conflicts and unrest be resolved and all grievances be turned to happiness;
May evil return to the right path and vengeance be pardoned to ensure transquility, supreme peace and prosperity for eternality.
O’Divine Ones, lead martyrs, people who perish in disaster, hungry and grievous souls to salvation and eternal paradise;
O’Divine Ones, we pray to you with sincerity and humility, and, we hope that our prayer will be answered.
道教祈禱词
三清上聖﹐ 諸天高真﹐ 一切大神﹐憫念垂慈﹐鑒納祈禱﹕
san qing shang sheng, zhu tian gao zhen, yi qie da shen, min nian chui ci, jia na qi dao:
願賜慧澤﹐普祐世人﹔願賜恩光﹐拯危救苦。
yuan ci hui zhe, pu you shi ren, yuan ci en guang, zheng wei jiu ku,
天災永消﹐人禍不興﹔國境清平﹐物阜年豐。
tian zai yong xiao, ren huo bu xing, guo jing qing ping, wu pu nian feng.
弭兵息戰﹐世界和平﹔人各互敬﹐博愛齊同。
mi bing xi zhan, shi jie he ping, ren ge hu jing, bo ai qi tong,

元首吉慶﹐黎庶康宁﹔兇惡化賢﹐邪魔歸正。
Yuan shou ji qing, li shu kang ning, xiong er hua xian, xie mo gui zheng.
冤仇和釋﹐諒解包容﹔永葆熙洽清宁﹐共享太平繁榮。

為國捐軀﹐因災殞命﹔餓殍飢鬼﹐含怨冤魂﹔
Wei guo juan qu, yin zai yun ming, er piao ji gui, han yuan yuan hun,
願籍神光力﹐一切得解脫﹔ 藉此聖會因﹐皆生入天界。
