CULLINARY IN THE FIRST DAY
Pada malam harinya saya menikmati hidangan minuman susu telur madu jahe (STMJ) beserta pisang goreng bertabur keju dan coklat, yang dimakan lesehan (duduk di atas tikar). Hidangan ini sangat nikmat karena dimakan di udara dingin.
In the night, I visited a “lesehan” stall, with the special menu of Milk Egg Honey Ginger drink and fried banana with cheese and chocolate. Lesehan = sitting on the straw carpet. This kind of food and drink is very suitable to accompany us in the middle of cold and rainy nights.

A. RUMAH-RUMAH KUNO DI PECINAN KOTA TEGAL
OLD HOUSE IN TEGAL’S CHINA TOWN
Keesokan harinya saya mengunjungi Vihara Metta, yang terletak di daerah pecinan kota Tegal. Dalam perjalanan saya melihat beberapa rumah kuno yang sangat menarik. Tegal sendiri memiliki sejarah keberadaan komunitas Tionghoa yang panjang.
At the 6th January 2013, I visited Metta Temple, which is located in the Chinatown of Tegal. On the way to this temple, I saw some old chinese houses which are very interesting. Tegal has a long history of the existence of Chinese community.
